Security forces in Chhattisgarh have seized a large cache of Maoist supplies near the Odisha–Chhattisgarh border in Gariaband district’s Menpur police limits, close to the Kulhadighat forest.
According to officials, acting on specific intelligence, personnel of the CRPF 65th Battalion launched an area domination operation along the border of Nuapada district and the Bindranwagarh region. During the search operation, security personnel discovered a huge stockpile of Maoist materials buried underground.
The seized items included sewing machines, backpacks, footwear, ropes, medicines, and food supplies—essential commodities meant for Maoist groups. The CRPF jawans destroyed the seized materials on the spot by burning them.
The CRPF 65th Battalion stated that continuous operations will be carried out in the border region to dismantle Maoist networks and ensure peace and development in the area.
