Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo chaired a crucial meeting in Malkangiri to address rising tensions between two villages.
The meeting, held at the District Collector’s office, brought together senior officials, including the Collector, SP, ADG, and DIG and MSME Minister Gokulananda Mallick. Tribal leaders also joined the discussions, highlighting community concerns.
Singh Deo met representatives of both groups separately to hear their demands. After receiving memorandums from each side, he assured that the Chief Minister would be informed.
Speaking after the meeting, Singh Deo emphasised the importance of maintaining peace. He directed the administration to ensure law and order in the district and prevent further escalation of violence.
The dispute between MV-26 and Rakhelguda villages had triggered unrest in recent days. Singh Deo’s intervention aimed to ease tensions and restore confidence among residents.
