A tragic road accident near Kunduli High School in Semiliguda block of Koraput district claimed two lives and left one critically injured.
According to reports, three youths from Araku village in Andhra Pradesh were travelling on a Bajaj Dominar bike along National Highway 26 towards Deomali. While overtaking a bus, their bike collided head-on with a pickup van approaching from the opposite direction.
One rider died instantly at the accident site. Locals rushed the other two to the Community Health Centre in Kunduli. Doctors declared one of them dead upon arrival, while the third youth is undergoing treatment for serious injuries.
The accident highlights the dangers of reckless overtaking on busy highways. Police have registered the case and initiated an investigation into the collision.
