Renowned educator Khan Sir hosted a grand wedding reception in Patna on Sunday, marking the first public appearance of his wife, AS Khan, since their quiet wedding in May.
The celebration, attended by key political and academic figures, quickly went viral as photos and videos flooded social media.
AS Khan, a government officer from Siwan, Bihar, captivated attention in a stunning red bridal lehenga adorned with intricate gold zardozi embroidery, sequins, and delicate jaal work. Her ensemble featured a heavily embroidered blouse with a round neckline and an A-line lehenga with a floor-length hem. She draped her dupatta like a saree pallu and wore a traditional veil covering most of her face, both adorned with gold detailing and an embroidered border.
Her look was completed with heavy bridal jewellery, including layered gold necklaces, red bangles, a nath (nose ring), pasa, maang tika, kadhas, and statement rings. Her makeup featured a bright red lip, flushed cheeks, highlighted skin, and sindoor in her center-parted loose hair.
Khan Sir complemented his bride in a brown three-piece suit, which included a notch-lapel blazer, straight-fit trousers, and a brocade vest. He paired it with a maroon silk tie, blush pink shirt, matching pocket square, and formal shoes.
The educator had earlier revealed his marriage to students during a live class, explaining the low-key wedding was due to the tense India-Pakistan geopolitical situation at the time. The reception was attended by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, Tejashwi Yadav, and other dignitaries, making it a significant public event.
The newlywed couple’s appearance has drawn admiration across the internet, with fans congratulating Khan Sir and applauding the couple’s elegant and traditional attire.
