Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today unveiled “Khaki Mauja,” a book authored by his advisor, Prakash Mishra, at Lok Seva Bhawan.
The Chief Minister lauded the book, describing it as a masterpiece that captures the art of living life joyfully. He urged every Odia reader to delve into its pages for an enriching experience.
“Khaki Mauja,” originally written in English and translated into Odia by Chinmay Hota, is published by Pen In Books, a leading publishing house in Odisha. The book is a vivid recounting of Prakash Mishra’s life, blending humour and satire to narrate his childhood memories and extensive career as a former Director General of Odisha Police and CRPF. Through engaging anecdotes, Mishra brings to life his experiences in a distinctive, witty style.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister remarked, “Embracing life with joy is an art, and Shri Mishra’s book is a successful expression of that art.” The launch, held on Monday evening at the State Secretariat, was attended by notable figures, including the author, translator Chinmay Hota, senior writer and columnist Dash Benhur, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Shashwat Mishra, and storyteller Shubhranshu Panda.
The book has already garnered attention for its unique storytelling and is expected to resonate with readers across Odisha, offering a glimpse into the life of a distinguished public servant with a flair for literary expression.
