A high-level meeting took place at Lok Seva Bhavan today between the Chief Secretary of Odisha and the CEO of NITI Aayog, focusing on six critical areas of development.
The discussions centred on creating an integrated economic region covering Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, and Paradip. The NITI Aayog CEO reviewed the progress of this initiative with the state government and stressed on effective implementation.
The meeting also highlighted Odisha’s Vision 2036 and Vision 2047, with a committee to be formed under the Chief Secretary’s chairmanship to drive long-term strategies.
For tribal development, a dedicated plan has already been prepared, with responsibility assigned to “Satwa.” Additionally, the meeting emphasised skilling and employment generation. Earlier, a NITI Aayog team visited the World Skill Centre and several colleges to assess opportunities for expanding job creation.
Another major focus was on renewable energy and green growth. Plans are being prepared to boost clean energy initiatives, and a separate committee will oversee this sector.
