Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues its unstoppable run at the global box office. The Kannada period drama has crossed the Rs 450 crore worldwide mark in just seven days, outperforming blockbusters like Brahmastra and 3 Idiots.
Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Performance
The film collected Rs 25 crore net on Wednesday, its seventh day in theatres, taking its total domestic net earnings to Rs 316 crore (Rs 379 crore gross).

The Hindi version has crossed Rs 100 crore net.

Both the Malayalam and Tamil versions have earned more than Rs 20 crore each.
This strong multilingual performance has made Kantara Chapter 1 a true pan-India blockbuster.
Overseas Collection and Global Reach
The film has also done remarkably well internationally, earning over $8 million from overseas markets.
Although its daily earnings have slightly dipped below $1 million, trade experts expect the film to remain steady through its second weekend, potentially pushing it beyond Rs 500 crore worldwide.
Beating Iconic Hits
With Rs 451 crore already in the bag, Kantara Chapter 1 has now surpassed the lifetime earnings of Brahmastra Part One (Rs 431 crore) and 3 Idiots (Rs 450 crore).
