Justice Harish Tandon has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, as per the announcement by the Ministry of Law on Friday.
Justice Tandon, who previously served as a judge in the Calcutta High Court, will now assume the top judicial post in the state.
This appointment follows the recommendation made by the Supreme Court collegium earlier this month. The position had been vacant since January 2025, after the retirement of Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh.
Justice Tandon, having served in the Calcutta High Court since his appointment in April 2010, brings years of judicial experience to his new role.
