Police in Brajrajnagar arrested three men and recovered stolen property worth lakhs in connection with two separate theft cases.

On February 4, Padman Nayak of Adarsh Nagar reported a burglary at his residence. Acting on the complaint, Orient police launched an investigation and arrested Sahil Suna of Bundia Colony, Laxman Khamari of Telenpali, and Harvinder Sahis of Binasipada, Rampur. Harvinder had purchased stolen items from the other two.

Police seized gold and silver ornaments, a television, and other valuables, along with the motorcycle used in the crime. During interrogation, the accused admitted to another burglary on January 29 at the house of Atul Panda in Budhijam. Officers recovered jewellery, electronics, and other items stolen in that case as well.

Jharsuguda SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra shared details of the operation at a press conference on Saturday. He confirmed that the stolen property from both cases has been recovered.

The briefing was attended by Brajrajnagar SDPO Chintamani Pradhan and Orient police station IIC Kshama Sagar Nayak.
