Lakhanpur tehsil witnessed a major development push as Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari inaugurated multiple public welfare projects worth nearly Rs 4.68 crore.
The minister laid the foundation stone for the Sub-Registrar’s office at a cost of ₹224.36 lakh and residential quarters for staff worth ₹211.91 lakh. He also launched the construction of a modern conference hall in the tehsil office premises with an investment of ₹31.26 lakh.
In addition, Pujari distributed permanent land pattas to 136 beneficiaries residing in forest and settlement areas. He reiterated the Odisha government’s commitment to provide every landless family with 4 decimals of land and a pucca house by the end of the current term.
Speaking at the event, the minister emphasised that these initiatives aim to strengthen local administrative infrastructure and ensure faster public service delivery. He directed engineers to complete the projects within the stipulated time while maintaining quality standards.
The program was attended by Jharsuguda Collector Kunal Motiram Chhabwan, Additional Collector (Revenue) Kishore Chandra Swain, Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda, Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairman Akshay Kumar Sahu, Lakhanpur Block Chairperson Huteshwari Tihuria, and several senior officials, local representatives, and residents.
