Veteran actor and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan is once again in the spotlight for her fiery temperament. A video that surfaced online shows her visibly agitated as she pushes a man attempting to take a selfie with her outside the Constitution Club of India in Delhi.
The incident occurred during a protest march led by Opposition MPs to the Election Commission, challenging alleged voter roll manipulation in Bihar. In the 32-second clip, Bachchan is heard saying “Kya kar rahe ho aap?” before physically shoving the man aside. RJD MP Misa Bharti was seen walking behind her.

Social media erupted with criticism, accusing Bachchan of “elitist behaviour” and arrogance. This isn’t her first public outburst—she recently snapped during the Operation Sindoor debate in Parliament and previously objected to being introduced as “Jaya Amitabh Bachchan” by then Rajya Sabha Chairperson Jagdeep Dhankhar.
While over 300 MPs, including Rahul Gandhi, were detained during the protest, Bachchan and the Samajwadi Party have yet to issue a statement. The incident has reignited discussions around celebrity accountability and decorum in public spaces.
