Team India’s premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be available for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, according to reports.
The 31-year-old, who played only three matches during India’s recent England Test tour due to workload management, has reportedly informed the selectors of his availability for the T20 tournament.
Bumrah had been released from the squad for the fifth Test against England mid-series to manage his fitness and prevent injuries. The Indian selectors are scheduled to announce the Asia Cup squad on August 19, and Bumrah’s participation is expected to be confirmed then.
A source from The Indian Express stated, “Bumrah has informed the selectors that he will be available for Asia Cup selection. The selection committee will discuss this when they meet next week.”
Additionally, reports indicate that India’s skipper Suryakumar Yadav has cleared his fitness test following recent surgery, making him eligible for selection as well.
