New Delhi: Bumrah ruled out ofJasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the ODI series against Sri Lanka over fitness concerns, as per reports by the news agency PTI.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had earlier handed Bumrah a recall to India’s ODI squad for the 3-match series against Sri Lanka.
Earlier, in a BCCI release, the board said: “The All-India Senior Selection Committee has included pacer Jasprit Bumrah in India’s ODI squad for the upcoming Mastercard 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
As per reports, Bumrah was out of action since September 2022 and was also ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to a back injury.
The pacer has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He will be joining the Team India ODI squad soon.
The BCCI is yet to confirm whether Bumrah has been ruled out of the entire 3-match series.
India plays three ODIs against Sri Lanka on January 10, 12 and 15, after the three-T20I series that began on January 3.
