Dr. V. Narayanan, the Chairman of ISRO and Secretary of the Department of Space, has arrived in Odisha on an official visit on Tuesday.
Upon landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar from Chennai, he was given a warm reception by distinguished academicians, including Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University, Prof. Damodar Acharya, Chairman of SOA International Advisory Board and Odisha chapter of the Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE), and Prof. Manas Kumar Mallick, Director of ITER.
Dr. Narayanan’s visit includes a stop at the Central Tool Training Centre (CTTC) and participation in NISER’s Technology Day celebrations. His engagements aim to foster discussions on India’s future space missions, including Chandrayaan-4, Venus exploration, and upcoming satellite launches.
Additionally, he is scheduled to deliver a lecture at the SOA Deemed to be University, where he is expected to discuss India’s advancements in space technology and upcoming missions. This visit is seen as a significant step in strengthening Odisha’s role in space research and technological innovation.
