Authorities in United Arab Emirates confirmed that debris from an intercepted Iranian projectile struck a building linked to Oracle in Dubai Internet City on Saturday morning.
Officials stated that the incident caused minor damage to the building’s facade, but no injuries or major structural damage were reported.
Swift Response Prevents Escalation
According to the Dubai Media Office, emergency teams responded quickly and brought the situation under control.
The debris reportedly fell following an aerial interception, highlighting the effectiveness of the UAE’s defence systems in neutralising incoming threats.
Conflicting Claims Over Previous Attack
Earlier in the week, reports had surfaced claiming that Iran targeted the same location. However, authorities in the UAE dismissed those claims as false.
The situation has now gained attention as tensions in the region continue to escalate amid the US–Iran conflict.
Strategic Location Raises Concerns
The incident occurred near Dubai Marina, one of the city’s most prominent residential and tourist areas.
The area is home to major business hubs, residential towers, and attractions, making any such incident a cause for concern among residents and authorities alike.

Since the beginning of the conflict, the UAE has reported intercepting:
- 475 ballistic missiles
- 23 cruise missiles
- Over 2,000 drones
Officials confirmed that defence systems continue to remain on high alert to counter any potential threats.
Previous Strikes and Regional Impact
The UAE has also faced earlier incidents targeting energy infrastructure, including a strike on the Habshan gas facility in Abu Dhabi, which resulted in casualties and damage.
The broader conflict has impacted several countries in the Gulf region, increasing security risks and disrupting normal operations.
