TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has successfully upgraded a critical 33 KV power line supplying the Army Air Defence College in Gopalpur, Odisha, reinforcing uninterrupted electricity to the strategic institution.
The project, completed in January, involved a 7.0 circuit kilometre infrastructure overhaul, including the replacement of aged conductors, erection of damaged poles, and installation of 120 new electric poles. Additionally, bird guards were integrated along the route to prevent outages caused by avian interference, ensuring a stable electricity supply.
The Army Air Defence College, situated along Odisha’s coastline, plays a crucial role in India’s defence training. Strengthening its power infrastructure was pivotal in supporting seamless operations and training activities.
Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL, expressed his commitment to reliable energy solutions, stating, “Empowering institutions of national importance through robust power infrastructure is at the core of our mission. The completion of this project reinforces our dedication to delivering quality power supply across Southern Odisha.”
This upgrade not only resolves past reliability concerns but also bolsters operational readiness. TPSODL’s efforts align with its broader mission to enhance the power distribution network, drive consumer satisfaction, and ensure 24×7 electricity across its licensed areas.
