The Indian Navy showcased its operational prowess by successfully conducting multiple anti-ship missile firings in the Arabian Sea.
This significant exercise emphasised the Navy’s preparedness for long-range precision strikes and its commitment to safeguarding India’s maritime interests.
The warships demonstrated the capability for offensive precision strikes, revalidating their platforms, systems, and crew readiness. The achievement underscores the Navy’s role as a credible and future-ready force. Additionally, the indigenous guided missile destroyer, INS Surat, successfully test-fired the MR-SAM air defense missile system, marking yet another milestone in India’s defense capabilities.
The exercise comes amid heightened regional tensions following the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir and a scheduled missile test by the Pakistan Navy. Such endeavours reflect India’s dedication to bolstering its defence prowess and self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
