Hockey India has narrowed down the senior women’s core group for its ongoing camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) center, Bengaluru.
The squad was cut from 65 to 40 players after assessing performances from the recent 15th Senior Women’s National Championship and the first phase of the camp.
The new roster includes a mix of seasoned players and young talent eager to make a mark. Key updates reveal the retention of 28 players from the previous group, while 12 new names earned their spots through outstanding performances. Notable additions include Samiksha Saxena from Assam (goalkeeper), Anjna Dungdung from Bengal (defender), and Dipimonika Toppo from Odisha (forward).
Coach Harendra Singh expressed enthusiasm about the selection, saying, “We have identified some great talent. I am excited to see how these young players perform in the camp and take a big step for their future.”
