Mumbai: After a thrilling Test in Kanpur which saw New Zealand tailenders salvage a draw, the action moves to Mumbai for the second and final Test of the series.
The game in Mumbai will also see the return of Virat Kohli in the Indian team for the first time since the T20 World Cup. Kohli had been rested for the T20Is and the first Test, and will take over as the captain of the side in Mumbai.
While Kohli returns to the XI, many eyes will be on who he replaces in the side. New Zealand, meanwhile, will be hoping for an improved performance from their spin-bowling attack in the second Test.
The India vs New Zealand 2nd Test match begins at 9:30 AM IST on Friday (December 2). Toss will take place at 9:00 AM.
As Test cricket returns to Mumbai for the first time in five years it will battle the threat of rain, which promises to leave an affect on the second India vs New Zealand Test match. The good news is that as per AccuWeather, the weather forecast for Friday, Day 1 of the Test match – looks slightly promising. Although there are overcast skies with brief spell of showers expected in the morning session, the weather update shows that the sun may play hide and seek in the skies of the city.
