New Delhi: India has thanked European friends such as Switzerland, Netherlands and Poland for sending coronavirus aid to India.
A flight from the Netherlands carrying 449 ventilators, 100 oxygen concentrators and other medical supplies arrived in India in the early on Friday. Another one from Switzerland carried 600 oxygen concentrators, 50 ventilators, and other medical supplies.100 oxygen concentrators arrived from Poland on Friday morning.
The Embassy of Switzerland said that a cargo aircraft carrying over 13 tons of medical supplies from Switzerland arrived in New Delhi. Medical supplies provided by Switzerland will be received by Indian Red Cross and distributed to hospitals by the Ministry of Health.
Earlier this week, the European Union granted financial assistance of 2.2 million Euros to respond to the COVID-19 crisis in India.
