India delivered a commanding performance in the first T20I at Cuttack Barabati Stadium, defeating South Africa by a massive 101 runs to go 1-0 up in the series.

Hardik Pandya’s explosive 59 off 28 balls set the tone, while India’s bowlers produced a rare collective show — each of the six bowlers picked at least one wicket.

The highlight came when Shivam Dube dismissed Lutho Sipamla with a short-of-length delivery outside off, the pull shot carrying to Abhishek at slip for a sharp catch. Jasprit Bumrah celebrated his 100th T20I wicket, while Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel chipped in with crucial breakthroughs.

South Africa, chasing 176, collapsed to their lowest-ever T20I total, undone by India’s relentless attack. The victory not only broke India’s Cuttack jinx but also showcased their depth and balance ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.
