India A face the USA today in Navi Mumbai as the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 warm-up matches begin across India and Sri Lanka.
The warm-up phase runs from February 2 to February 6. These matches allow teams to adapt to conditions and test squad combinations before the main tournament. India planned their approach carefully. The senior team will play only one warm-up match against South Africa to manage workload. India A will play two matches, giving selectors a chance to evaluate reserve players such as Tilak Varma, Riyan Parag and Ayush Badoni.
Warm-up matches take place in Bengaluru, Navi Mumbai, Chennai and Colombo. Star Sports Network will telecast the games, while JioHotstar will stream India’s matches live. Teams can use all 15 squad members, and results will not affect standings.
Afghanistan meet Scotland in Bengaluru at 3 PM. India A take on the USA in Navi Mumbai at 5 PM. Canada face Italy in Chennai at 7 PM.
On February 3, Sri Lanka A play Oman in Colombo, the Netherlands face Zimbabwe, and Nepal meet the UAE. February 4 features Namibia vs Scotland, Afghanistan vs West Indies, Ireland vs Pakistan, and India vs South Africa. February 5 includes Oman vs Zimbabwe, Canada vs Nepal, Australia vs Netherlands, and New Zealand vs USA. The warm-up phase ends on February 6 with Italy vs UAE and India A vs Namibia.
India A squad is led by Ayush Badoni, while Suryakumar Yadav captains the senior team. India are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Namibia, the Netherlands and the USA.
