India A Women defeated Sri Lanka A Women by five wickets in the first semifinal of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok.
Captain Radha Yadav led from the front, claiming 4/19 in 3.4 overs and then scoring an unbeaten 31 off 18 balls to guide her team into the final.
Sri Lanka A struggled after winning the toss and electing to bat. Hansima Karunaratne fell early, while Sanjana Kavindi fought hard with 31 runs off 35 balls. However, the Indian spin attack dismantled the batting lineup. Radha Yadav starred with four wickets, supported by Prema Rawat (2/9), Tanuja Kanwar (2/21), and Minnu Mani (1/21). Sri Lanka A folded for 118 in 19.4 overs.
India A chased the target confidently despite losing Nandini Kashyap early. Vrinda Dinesh smashed 42 off 20 balls, and Anushka Sharma added 27 off 18 balls, building a crucial 48-run stand. After their dismissals, Radha Yadav anchored the chase with her aggressive knock, ensuring India crossed the line in 13.3 overs with five wickets in hand.
India A will now face the winner of the second semifinal between Bangladesh A and Pakistan A on February 22. The victory highlighted India’s depth in spin bowling and Radha Yadav’s all-round brilliance, making them strong contenders for the title.
