Bhubaneswar: The immediate and inclusive approach of the Odisha government for fire management and mitigation has led to the complete containment of forest fire in Similipal and the entire State, said Chief of Task Force On Forest Fire Sandeep Tripathi.
In a press briefing at the Office of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & HOFF, Tripathi said that active involvement of locals, community mobilisation and awareness is underway for effective fire mitigation.

Tripathi also informed that the Central Team has completed the field visit and they would deliberate with the Government on the matter today.
“As of now, the fire situation is totally contained in the State,” said the Forest Fire Task Force Chief, and added that the government is under full preparedness and alert to mitigate the fire situation in the State.
