The countdown has begun for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to be the biggest edition yet with 12 teams competing across seven historic venues in England.
This highly anticipated tournament will run from 12 June to 5 July, culminating in a grand final at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.
The opening match will see hosts England kick off the competition at Edgbaston, Birmingham, a venue known for its electrifying atmosphere. Semi-finals are scheduled to take place at The Oval in London on 30 June and 2 July, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion.
Fans can expect intense competition as eight teams have already qualified, including cricketing powerhouses such as Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies, New Zealand (defending champions), and England. Four additional teams will secure their spots through qualifiers in 2025.
With women’s cricket gaining immense popularity, ICC Chair Jay Shah expressed confidence in the tournament’s ability to build on recent momentum. “Women’s cricket stands at the forefront of our vision, and we believe this event will elevate the sport to new heights,” he stated.
Tickets for key matches, including the semi-finals and final, will go on sale from 12 June 2025, with pricing designed to encourage fan attendance. Adults can secure seats for the opening match at £15, while juniors can enjoy the game for just £5.
