The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the nominees for the T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament on Friday, with India opener Sanju Samson making the list.
Samson impressed with back-to-back match-winning performances, scoring 97 off 50 balls against West Indies in the quarterfinals and 89 off 42 balls against England in the semifinals. He has 232 runs in four matches at an average of 77.33 and a strike rate of 201.73.

Jacks contributed with 226 runs and nine wickets, earning four player-of-the-match awards. Farhan scored 383 runs in six innings, including two centuries, the most by any player in a single T20 World Cup edition. Ngidi claimed 12 wickets in seven matches, while Markram added 286 runs across eight games. Ravindra showcased his all-round skills with 128 runs and 11 wickets, and Seifert scored 274 runs with eight fifties.
