Housefull 5, starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan, has stormed the box office, becoming the fastest film in the franchise to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark.
Despite mixed reviews, the slapstick comedy has pulled audiences into theatres, cementing its position as a strong performer.
According to industry reports, the Tarun Mansukhani-directed film collected Rs 13 crore nett on Monday, bringing its four-day total to Rs 100.5 crore. The impressive numbers are credited to the franchise’s popularity and the absence of any major competition in the Hindi film market.
Box Office Collection (India – Nett):
-
Friday: Rs 24 crore
-
Saturday: Rs 31 crore
-
Sunday: Rs 32.5 crore
-
Monday: Rs 13 crore
-

With a reported budget of Rs 240 crore, Housefull 5 still has a long way to go to secure profitability. Analysts suggest that its third-week performance will be crucial in determining its final box office standing. Meanwhile, the film marks the fourth-biggest opening of Kumar’s career, behind Mission Mangal, Sooryavanshi, and Gold.
Fans now await whether Housefull 5 can surpass Housefull 4, which remains the highest-grossing film in the franchise with Rs 210.3 crore in lifetime earnings.
