Puri: General darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings will be restricted from 5 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday due to the Banaka Lagi rituals of the deities in the shree Jagannath Temple here.
The temple administration has informed that the Dutta Mohapatra servitors will perform the special ritual which is conducted to enhance the beauty of the Holy Trinity.
The holy idols will be painted with natural colours by the servitors. During the time, the sanctum sanctorum um will remain closed for the devotees.
No outsiders will be allowed to enter the temple during the conduct of the ritual, temple administration said.
The dutta Mohapatra servitors have prepared the special colours from various herbs and natural substances.
The ritual is conducted several times in a year to make the deities attractive.
