Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to witness rainfall for the next three days. this has been predicted by the Regional MeT dept in Bhubaneswar.
While rains continued to lash Bhubaneswar, 5 districts (Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar & Sundergarh) have been issued with a ‘Yellow Warning’ for heavy to very heavy rainfall.
According to the latest bulletin of the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur and Kalahandi today. While, heavy Rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack and Nayagarh.
Likewise, a yellow warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued to districts including Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack and Nayagarh for tomorrow (July 25).
Similarly, heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput and heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh on July 26.
Meanwhile, the state has recorded 15 percent deficit rains till now. According to Manorama Mohanty, the Director of the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, Odisha recorded 388.6 mm rain from June 1 to till date. However, the State has witnessed 15 percent deficit rains till now. As of now, there should have been 548 mm of rainfall in the State.
