A major road accident occurred near the Dhanantara Panchayat office under Sheragada police limits in Ganjam district when two passenger buses collided head-on.
According to reports, an OSRTC bus traveling from Sheragada towards Puri was hit head-on by a private bus named Chandratara, coming from Hinjilikatu side.
In the collision, 10 passengers on board the OSRTC bus sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the Chandratara bus, identified as Neelanchal Behera, was critically injured.
Local residents rushed to the spot and rescued the injured, shifting them to Hinjilikatu Medical for treatment.
Sheragada police reached the scene, seized both buses, and have begun an investigation into the incident.
