In a high-octane encounter, the Gujarat Giants pulled off a sensational 5-wicket win against the Delhi Capitals in Match 17 of the TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025.

The victory lifted Gujarat Giants to the No.2 spot in the points table.

The Giants’ triumph was anchored by a stunning unbeaten 70 off 49 balls from Harleen Deol, who showcased impeccable composure under pressure. She was supported by crucial contributions from Beth Mooney (44 off 35), Deandra Dottin (24 off 10), and Ashleigh Gardner (22 off 13).

The chase saw Gujarat Giants recover from early setbacks, with Mooney and Deol’s partnership steering them through crucial phases.

Delhi Capitals, already assured of a playoff berth, posted a challenging total of 177/5, thanks to a brilliant 92 off 57 balls from Meg Lanning.

Despite their disciplined bowling, they couldn’t prevent Gujarat’s fearless charge, with Kashvee Gautam hitting a vital six in the final over to secure the win.

The match was marked by dramatic momentum shifts and showcased the Giants’ resilience and strategic play.
