In a fervent call to the youth, Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati has urged the young population to step into the world of entrepreneurship and play a pivotal role in the economic growth of Odisha and the nation.
This appeal was made during the inauguration of a newly built flexible packaging unit at Ramdaspur Industrial Estate in Cuttack today.
The Governor emphasized that while many young individuals seek stable employment, those who dare to dream bigger and aim for higher ambitions hold the true power to drive a growing economy. The newly inaugurated packaging unit is seen as a significant milestone in Odisha’s journey towards industrial self-reliance. It is dedicated to manufacturing high-quality packaging materials for the food processing industry, reducing Odisha’s reliance on such materials from other states.
“This project will not only strengthen the industrial ecosystem but also create opportunities for employment and innovation,” the Governor remarked. He highlighted the vast potential within Odisha’s industrial sector and the endless opportunities for those willing to take bold steps.
Governor Kambhampati also praised local entrepreneurs Shrikant Khatua and Pritish Sahu for their visionary thinking and exemplary leadership in setting up the flexible packaging unit. He expressed his hope that their journey would inspire other young people in Odisha to adopt innovation and contribute to the state’s and the country’s economic growth.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Odisha Minister for Industry, Skill Development and Technical Education Sampada Chandra Swain and Additional Chief Secretary, MSME and Industries Department Hemant Sharma. Both officials outlined the steps the government is taking to support youth entrepreneurship.
The ceremony began with a welcome speech by Shrikant Khatua, Managing Partner of ODIPAK Solutions, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Partner Pritish Sahu. Dr. Sarat Sahu, Chairman of the Odisha Industries Federation, moderated the event, with Cuttack District Magistrate Dattatray Bhausaheb Shinde serving as the host.
