Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Sri Lanka has heralded a new chapter in bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
Seven significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, encompassing energy, digital transformation, health, defense, and multi-sectoral grant assistance. Notable projects launched include the Sampur Solar Power Project and the Maho-Omanthai railway upgrade.
The Prime Minister also announced several developmental initiatives, including capacity-building programs for Sri Lankans, grants for temple restorations, and the Exposition of Lord Buddha relics. The visit underlines India’s commitment to fostering enduring partnerships with its neighbor for mutual prosperity.
