Puducherry: Puducherry CM Narayanasamy lost majority as the no-confidence motion moved by him was defeated on the floor of assembly.
Narayanasamy has submitted his resignation to the Lieutenant Governor after losing majority in the Assembly.
This has worsened the political crisis in the Union Territory. The Congress MLAs staged a walk out even as Speaker of the Assembly announced that the trust vote moved by the Chief Minister was defeated.
Narayanasamy alleged that the Centre ‘undermined’ the UT government and ‘deprived’ it of funds. He said people of Puducherry will teach the opposition a lesson.
