The flood situation in Odisha continues to show gradual improvement, with river levels across major rivers indicating a falling trend and rainfall activity reducing significantly.

Relief, response, and restoration measures remain in force as the State Government coordinates closely with district administrations.

According to the latest reports, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, and Baleshwar remain affected:

  • Jajpur: Dasarathpur block affected; 19 GPs and 62 villages impacted. 22 relief camps operational, covering 7,745 beneficiaries.
  • Mayurbhanj: 21 blocks, 53 GPs, 97 villages, and two Baripada Municipality wards affected. 29 relief camps operational, covering 10,501 beneficiaries. 104 houses damaged; 9 polythene rolls distributed.
  • Baleshwar: Five blocks affected—Bhogarai, Baliapala, Basta, Remuna, and Jaleshwar—covering 41 GPs and 214 villages. 72 relief camps are operational, covering 35,740 beneficiaries.

A total of 47 response teams are deployed today, including 21 ODRAF, 4 NDRF, and 22 Fire & Emergency Services teams.

At present, the Subarnarekha River at Rajghat is the only river flowing above danger level at 10.84 m, though it is showing a falling trend. Other rivers including the Mahanadi, IB, Brahmani, Baitarani, Burhabalanga, Vansadhara, and Jalaka are also receding.

The Hirakud reservoir stood at 627.29 ft with inflow of 1,41,962 cusecs and outflow of 78,429 cusecs through four open gates.

The IMD has forecast thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) in districts under Yellow Warning, including Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Cuttack, Kendujhar, and Mayurbhanj.

Authorities have urged people to remain cautious against localised flooding, waterlogging, and possible damage to roads, crops, and vulnerable structures. Relief camps, cattle feed supply, and restoration measures continue until normalcy returns.

The State Emergency Operation Centre maintains round-the-clock monitoring in coordination with all DEOCs, ensuring preparedness and timely support to affected communities.
