Narayanpur: Five Naxalites were killed and three jawans were injured in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, according to police reports. The encounter took place in a forest near Gobel village in the Orchha area, where a joint team of security personnel was conducting the operation.
The operation involved personnel from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) of Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Dantewada, and Bastar districts, along with the 45th battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
Following the gunfight, the bodies of five uniformed Naxalites and several weapons were recovered from the site.
Earlier today, a video has surfaced online of a Naxal attack on a newly built security camp in the Narayanpur district. The camp, situated at Irakvatti, was in the midst of operational preparations when it was abruptly attacked. The viral video captures a BGL exploding before a Jawan who narrowly managed to escape the explosion by a whisker and swiftly counterattacked, resulting in an extended firefight.
