Indian triple jumper Praveen Chithravel continues to etch his name in history as he equalled his own National Record during the Federation Cup at Maharaja College Stadium, Kochi.
The 23-year-old achieved an impressive jump of 17.37 meters, a feat he had first recorded in 2023 during an event in Havana, Cuba.
Chithravel secured his place in this year’s Asian Athletics Championships and World Athletics Championships with this exceptional performance. Remarkably, he achieved the record-breaking jump during his second attempt, deciding to withdraw from the competition thereafter.
