A tragic road accident in Odisha’s Ganjam district claimed three lives, leaving one severely injured.
The collision occurred near Damdorpalli village under Jarada police limits when two Royal Enfield motorcycles collided head-on.
The deceased were identified as Dau Goud, his son Sunil Kumar Goud, and Rajesh Panigrahi. A fourth individual was critically injured and is receiving treatment at Patrapur Hospital.
Local MLA Manoranjan Dyan Samantaray visited the hospital, urging authorities to provide appropriate medical care and expressing heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi also conveyed his sorrow over the incident and sanctioned an ex-gratia amount of ₹4 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the families of the victims.
The accident has once again raised concerns about road safety in rural areas, especially during monsoon conditions when visibility and terrain pose added risks.
