A chilling act of violence unfolded in Gudisara village under the jurisdiction of Kotinada police station in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

A man attacked his father-in-law, Congress Nahak, with a sharp weapon, reportedly over a family dispute.

The assailant fled the scene, leaving Nahak gravely injured. He was initially rushed to Aska Hospital for treatment. However, as his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for advanced care.

Local police have launched an investigation into the matter and are actively searching for the accused son-in-law. This tragic incident has left the community shaken, sparking conversations about the underlying tensions in families and the consequences of unresolved disputes.

Authorities are urging residents to assist in locating the suspect and to practice vigilance against domestic conflicts that could escalate to violence.
