Former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash was found dead at his residence in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, on Sunday evening.
The incident took a dramatic twist when his wife, Pallavi, reportedly called the police and confessed to committing the murder.
According to sources, Pallavi contacted the police control room and admitted to stabbing her husband. Following the confession, she was taken into custody along with their daughter, Kriti. Meanwhile, their son, Karthikesh, was not present at the time of the crime. Upon returning home, he discovered his father lying in a pool of blood and immediately filed a complaint.
Further revelations suggest that Pallavi had allegedly been threatening to kill Om Prakash for the past week, leading him to temporarily move to his sister Saritha Kumari’s house. Two days before the tragic incident, Kriti reportedly persuaded her father to return home against his wishes.
The police are conducting further investigations into the case, examining the circumstances surrounding the crime and potential motives. The tragic incident has sent shockwaves across Karnataka, given Om Prakash’s esteemed career in law enforcement.
