The much-anticipated Odisha Masters 2024 commenced with grandeur and enthusiasm at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Indoor Stadium Cuttack.
Deputy Chief Minister Odisha Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo graced the opening ceremony, adding to the prestige of the event. Noteworthy, this is the third edition of Odisha Masters that Jawahar Lal Neheru Indoor Stadium is hosting.
Deputy CM praised the event’s organizers for their dedication to promoting badminton in Odisha and emphasized the state’s growing prominence as a sports hub in India. Young enthusiasts and spectators in the stadium, created a lively atmosphere adding to the spirit of the game.
MLA Barabati Cuttack, Sofia Firdaus, Principal Secretary of Sports Department Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, Collector cum District Magistrate, Cuttack Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, DCP Jagmohan Meena, Hockey Promotion Council of Odisha CEO Deepankar Mohapatra were present today during the inauguration ceremony of Odisha Masters 2024.
Odisha is hosting the Odisha Masters 2024 in association with the Odisha State Badminton Association (OSBA) and the Badminton Association of India (BAI). The event will feature around 300 players from 29 countries competing across six days.
The tournament is part of the state’s continued efforts to foster athletic excellence and community engagement through sports.
