A devastating fire broke out late Thursday night at a two-story building in Sector 7 of the CDA area in Cuttack City.

At least two individuals, including a woman, sustained serious burn injuries. The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined as authorities continue their investigation.

Sources reported that a young man and a woman inside the building suffered critical burns. They were promptly rescued and rushed to a private hospital for treatment. Other occupants of the house managed to escape with minor injuries.

The fire spread rapidly, causing extensive damage to household belongings and reducing nearby parked vehicles, including a car and two two-wheelers, to ashes. Fire service personnel arrived at the scene after receiving information and successfully extinguished the flames, preventing further damage.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire. Further details are awaited.
