The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the depression over Jharkhand and surrounding areas has weakened into a well-marked low pressure area on July 15.
The system is currently located over north Jharkhand and adjoining south Bihar.
According to the IMD, the system is expected to continue moving west-northwestwards across Jharkhand and south Bihar towards eastern Uttar Pradesh over the next 24 hours.
This weakened system may still cause moderate to heavy rainfall in parts of Jharkhand, Bihar, and eastern Uttar Pradesh, along with gusty winds in some areas. Authorities are advised to remain alert for localized flooding and disruptions in transport and communication in low-lying regions.
