Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here has issued dense fog alert in several districts of Odisha till January 21.
As per the weather bulletin issued by MeT today, dense fog is very likely to occur at a few places in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal and Nayagarh during 19.01.2021 night and 20.01.2021 early morning and in the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Boudh during 20.01.2021 night and 21.01.2021 early morning.
Following this, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued an advisory to district Collectors and SPs in view of the dense fog forecast by India Meteorological Department (IMD) in several parts of Odisha.
In a letter, the SRC has instructed police and transport department officials of some districts to take necessary measures for controlled movement of vehicles on National Highways during the dense fog.
