Delhi-NCR witnessed severe rainfall on Friday, triggering widespread chaos across the city.

Waterlogging, fallen trees, and disrupted flight operations caused inconvenience for commuters and travelers.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert, warning residents about potential thunderstorms and squally winds reaching speeds of 80 km/h. Areas such as Dwarka Underpass, Ring Road, and Minto Road were inundated, making movement difficult.

Over 100 flights were delayed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, with some flights redirected to Jaipur and Ahmedabad due to poor weather conditions. Airlines urged passengers to stay informed about their flight schedules.

In a tragic incident, four people lost their lives when a tree fell on their home, leading to a structural collapse. Emergency services are working to assist affected individuals and restore essential infrastructure.

Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary travel, stay indoors, and unplug electronic devices during the storm. Officials continue to monitor the situation closely.
