India’s Deepti Sharma has surged past New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr to secure the fifth position in the latest ICC Women’s all-rounders rankings.
Garnering 344 points, the 27-year-old all-rounder now finds herself among the top five, trailing only behind Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner, who heads the list.
Deepti Sharma’s prowess is further highlighted as she holds the third spot in the T20 all-rounders rankings and the fourth position in the ODI bowling charts, underlining her exceptional versatility and contribution to the game.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s leading all-rounder, Chamari Athapaththu, has also made significant strides. Following her commendable performance in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand, Athapaththu moved up two spots. Her efforts during the series, which saw New Zealand clinch a 2-0 victory, included scoring 25 runs and taking three wickets, enabling her to overtake the White Ferns’ veteran Sophie Devine and share the seventh position with Australia’s Annabel Sutherland.
In the ODI batting rankings, Smriti Mandhana remains the sole Indian representative in the top 10, holding firm at the second spot behind South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt. Adding to the excitement, Nat Sciver-Brunt has now risen to the third position, surpassing Athapaththu in the rankings.
