The Government of Odisha appointed Debendra Kumar Jena, IAS (Retd), as Consultant in the Office of the Chief Secretary. The engagement will last for one year from the date of his joining.
The official notification, issued on February 26, 2026, confirmed that Jena will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs 86,100 per month. The General Administration and Public Grievance Department released the order, signed by Additional Secretary Debasis Singh, by order of the Governor.
Debendra Kumar Jena, a retired IAS officer, brings decades of administrative experience to the role. His appointment reflects the state government’s focus on strengthening governance and ensuring effective coordination at the highest level.
