Cuttack Pvt Hospital Fire Mishap: Evacuated Infant Dies at Sishu Bhawan

Cuttack : An 11-day infant who was evacuated during the major fire mishap at a private hospital in the Purighat area of Cuttack city yesterday, succumbed while undergoing treatment at Sishu Bhawan on Sunday. There are no fire-related injuries on the infant's body, informed the Sishu Bhawan Superintendent. The infant reportedly belonged to the Chandbali area of Bhadrak district. A fire broke out at a private hospital in the Purighat area of Cuttack on Saturday, leading to the evacuation of 45 patients, including 17 newborns. A total of 17 newborns were shifted to Sishu Bhawan, while the adult patients were admitted to SCBMCH and some to other hospitals in the city.
