Residents of Bhubaneswar witnessed a shocking incident on Friday morning when miscreants hurled a crude bomb near Kendriya Vidyalaya‑3.

The attack occurred around 8 AM and immediately created panic in the area. People rushed to safety as the sound of the explosion echoed through the neighbourhood.

Police officers reached the spot quickly and secured the surroundings. They examined the site and began collecting evidence. Investigators checked CCTV footage from nearby establishments to identify the perpetrators. The Commissionerate Police assured residents that they would track down those responsible.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team reached the site and began a detailed probe. Investigators examined the area, collected samples, and reviewed CCTV footage to trace those involved.

Local witnesses described the sudden chaos. Parents and students felt alarmed as the attack happened near a school. Authorities emphasised that no one sustained injuries and no property suffered major damage.
