In a recent statement, health officials advised people suffering from various ailments to exercise extra caution. They emphasised that individuals with severe health conditions are at higher risk and should adopt preventive measures, including mask-wearing, to avoid potential complications.
Authorities have confirmed that any detected Omicron subvariant cases from Odisha will be sent for genome sequencing to track viral mutations. However, the central government has yet to issue formal guidelines regarding the current outbreak.
